The Executive Committee
Nine owners, elected by the General Body for a year, run the association: President, Vice President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer and four Executive Members.
The committee in office
Each member decides whether to appear here. Members who have not agreed to be shown on the website are left out.

To reach the committee, write to committee@ahowa.org. Owners see every member's post, and the contact details members choose to share, in the resident app.
How the committee is chosen and held to account
The association's bye-laws, adopted by the owners in 2013, set out how the committee is elected and how the General Body oversees it.
Elections
Held when the owners do not agree on a committee by consensus. Three owners who are not standing run the election, notified 15 days ahead. A post with no more candidates than seats is filled unopposed.
One secret vote per villa
Owners vote in the resident app or on paper at the club-house booth. The app records that a villa has voted, never whom it chose. A proxy may vote with the owner's written authority.
Who can vote and stand
Owners, one vote per villa; an owner's spouse or adult child may stand. Tenants do not vote. Villas three months or more behind on maintenance may not vote or stand.
General Body
Meets at least once a year, with 15 days' notice; a quarter of the owners make the quorum. It approves the accounts, budget and major works, and elects the committee.
Committee meetings
The committee meets every month with 7 days' notice; five of its nine members make the quorum. Minutes and action points reach owners in the app.
Handover and records
Each committee hands over the books, accounts, keys and documents to the next, and its works and accounts stay on record in the app for every owner to see.
